Ella Spira is a London-based Grammy nominated composer and co-director of the London based production company, Sisters Grimm, the company behind the critically acclaimed, sell-out success INALA. Spira, the daughter of two artists from Gloucestershire and the eldest of six, learned piano, studied conducting, has worked in radio and was mentored by James Bond composer David Arnold. Ella works predominantly with classical music, whilst having an intimate knowledge of, and regular engagement with projects across the spectrum of contemporary popular culture. She has worked with companies as diverse as The Royal Ballet, BAFTA, Channel 4, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, UNICEF and Ministry of Sound and on pop chart remixes with Steve Smart & Westfunk for singles for artists such as Bruno Mars. In 2008 Ella was nominated for a Channel 4 Talent award for production music and in 2016 was nominated for a Grammy award.
